At Communication Playground, our mission is to cultivate confident communicators through child-led play, fostering a foundation of connection and naturalistic experiences. We are a neurodiverse-affirming speech therapy practice committed to empowering each child to be their unique self. Guided by evidence-based interventions, we believe in the power of play to enhance communication skills.
Expertise
Hello, I'm Laura DiRusso, a speech-language pathologist based in Colorado with experience in school and home health settings. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Colorado College, and received a Master's degree in Communication Disorders and Speech Sciences from the University of Oregon.
I value speech therapy that is inclusive, fun, and child-led. My approach is centered around fostering functional communication skills within the context of everyday life.
